It was found that β-estradiol activates MGMT expression at both mRNA and protein levels in all studied cell lines that express the estrogen membrane receptor and differ in the patterns of expression of nuclear receptors. For the first time, positive regulation of MGMT gene expression by progesterone was detected in cells expressing the progesterone membrane receptor and its nuclear receptor, as well as in cells not expressing the nuclear receptor, indicating the existence of nonclassical regulation of MGMT receptor expression by steroid receptors. It has been shown for the first time that co-treatment of IFN-a2β cells with nitrosoguanidine tends to reduce MGMT expression. A number of new non-nucleoside inhibitors have been described that can cause a statistically significant decrease in the content of the reparative enzyme MGMT. The existence of a correlation between the expression of p60 isoform S6K1 and the pathomorphological characteristics of thyroid and breast tumors in the context of tumor invasiveness and metastatic potential has been established. It was found that the level of CR16 expression in luminal B type breast tumors does not change compared to peritumoral tissues. It has been established that in human adenocarcinoma cells of the human breast line MCF7 protein CR16 is involved in endosomal transport and endocytosis. A number of genes of malignant tumors of the prostate and ovaries with changes in the level of methylation of their promoter sites in tumor tissues and urine of patients have been identified. A panel of five genes is recommended for early non-invasive detection of prostate cancer.
