It has been established that there is a complexation between antitumor drugs gemcitabine and doxorubicin with the transport protein albumin. When gold nanoparticles are added to the doxorubicin-albumin system, the binding constant decreases while maintaining the number of binding sites. The charge is transferred from dye molecules to fullerenes, which is accompanied by a change in the geometry and electronic structure of the complexes.
