Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 A method for obtaining a catalytic solution of potassium butylate has been developed, which provides high efficiency of alkaline butanolysis of vegetable oils with a high yield of butyl esters and spontaneous separation of reactive glycerol in a separate phase during synthesis.Bench engine tests of mixtures with petroleum fuels have shown the high efficiency of butyl esters as biodiesel.Oleochemical transformation of fat-containing organic wastes of animal origin resulted in environmentally friendly surfactants and materials.A comprehensive study of physicochemical and practically important properties of synthesized nitrogen- and sulfur-containing surfactants proved their antioxidant, protective and tribological properties, and developed lubricating compositions with their use are characterized by balanced performance. A method for forming and synthesizing heterogeneous non-toxic hybrid catalysts based on phosphorus-molybdenum and phosphorus-tungsten heteropolyacids and acid-base catalysts based on HPA with lysine has been developed.Physicochemical characteristics of the obtained catalysts were studied. An improved technological scheme of pectin production for domestic producers is proposed, which allows to reduce energy consumption and increase the productivity of the target product. Obtaining microcrystalline cellulose, activated carbon and components of motor fuel on the example of the selected model raw material-millet wire is a prerequisite for the development of a comprehensive waste-free technology for biomass.Onium salts(ionic liquids)and anions based on butyl esters of oleic and ricino acids containing sulfate or carboxyl groups were synthesized.A hydrophobic ionic liquid containing a butyl ricinoleate residue in the cation was synthesized. The technology of processing solid biomass in an alkaline environment is proposed, which at the same time promotes the rational utilization of food waste, livestock and poultry waste and the production of valuable chemicals.
