THERMOELECTRICITY, THERMOELECTRIC MATERIAL, NEAR-CONTACT STRUCTURES, RELIABILITY OF THERMOELECTRIC DEVICES, LIFE TESTS The object of research is material science foundations for creating stable thermoelectric materials for long-term operation, mechanisms of effect of accelerated life and cyclic tests of thermoelectric materials and near-contact structures under vacuum and high temperatures. The purpose of the work is research is aimed at creating a fundamental basis for the production of promising functional thermoelectric materials, their processing and connection in a battery with a long service life, increasing their resource stability and reliability in space vacuum. Research methods and equipment are methods of mathematical physics and statistics, computer modeling, experimental methods for studying the parameters of thermoelectric materials and devices, experimental methods for determining the life of thermoelectric devices on special equipment developed and manufactured at the Institute of Thermoelectricity. Efficient ways to improve the stability of thermoelectric materials and near-contact structures have been established. Methods for accelerated life tests of thermoelectric materials and near-contact structures have been developed, equipment has been developed and manufactured for their implementation. The stability of thermoelectric materials and near-contact structures is confirmed by life tests. The results of comprehensive research have improved the quality of cooling modules manufactured at the Institute of Thermoelectricity, which ensured their use in 75% of the world's requirements for star trackers, including for the mission to Mars - In Sight and in the planned missions to Jupiter - Jupiter Icy Moon, Europa Clipper.
