The quality of erythrocyte-containing components (ECCs) of donor blood during their storage in standard conditions of hypothermia (for 21-42 days at a temperature of 2-6 °C, and with CPDA-1, CPD, CPD + SAGM preservative solutions) has been studied. Dynamic changes in such parameters as hemolysis, erythrocyte membrane stability, the functional reserve of antioxidant enzymes, as well as activation levels of lipid peroxidation processes with gradual acidification of their environment have been established. It is confirmed that the central role in the genesis of pathophysiological changes that occur in erythrocytes during ECCs storage, belongs to the oxidation processes activation, as well as their products accumulation. Positive effects of nano modified with standardized biocompatible nanoparticles of magnetite 0.9% NaCl solution on the stability of red blood cells when it is used as an additional resuspending solution for the ECCs have been demonstrated.
