A comparison of daily variations in the critical frequency of the F2 ionosphere layer foF2 at medium and high latitudes was made using data from the Pruhonice, Kharkiv, and Tromsø ionosondes under magnetically quiet conditions. The effect of the annular solar eclipse on June 10, 2021 on regular and wave processes at medium and high latitudes is analyzed. Both at high and medium latitudes, there was no increase in wave activity caused by the studied solar eclipse. The parameters of the high-latitude ionosphere are analyzed during the periods of EISCAT Heater operation. The pumping by short cycles (4 min on, 4 min of) is found to cause a noticeable modulation of the electron temperature at altitudes of 170 – 230 km with a period of about 8 min, which corresponds to the period of the heater operation. The results of the research can be used in basic studies of solar-terrestrial interactions and the near-Earth environment, as well as to solve applied problems related to the influence of non-stationary processes in the atmosphere and ionosphere on telecommunication systems, the operation of satellite equipment in open space, as well as the accuracy of geo-positioning systems.
