Litvinenko Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine popup.description2  The objects of research are biodegradable functionalized ionic liquids and surfactants with high surface activity, selective antimicrobial action and environmental friendliness. The purpose of the work is to solve a scientific problem in the field of supramolecular chemistry associated with the synthesis of new ionic liquids and surfactants with high functional activity, selectivity and environmental friendliness, the ability to complex with macrocycles, antimicrobial and antidote activity. Research methods - NMR, IR, UV spectroscopy, Liquid chromatography - mass-spectrometry, elemental analysis, methods of potentiometric and conductometric titration. New data on the influence of the length of the alkyl chain and the cationic main group on the biodegradability in the environment of ionic liquids synthesized on the basis of phenylalanine. It is shown that the toxic effects of ionic liquids are enhanced, regardless of the cationic component, with increasing hydrophobic nature of longer alkyl chains, completely inhibiting the biotic hydrolysis of the amide bond. The use of hydrolysis of the amide bond by amidases with the release of phenylalanine and the corresponding acids as a next step of microbial biodegradation is proposed.
