The purpose of the research is to create new scientific knowledge on the development and combination of effective ways to prevent corrosion of steel reinforcement in alkali-activated slag cement concretes obtained from high consistency mixes to increase the durability of reinforced concrete structures operated in aggressive environments. As a result of research, significant factors for the diffusion of carbon dioxide into the structure of plasticized alkali-activated slag cement concrete were determined. Effective measures for rational restriction of carbonization in the protective layer of plasticized alkali-activated slag cement concrete are proposed.
