Sputtering was carried out at different control modes and at different technological parameters of single-layer (Nb/S-substrate, Ta/S) and double-layer (Ta/Nb/S) films on samples from cannon steel 0XN3MFA and fragments of barrel of caliber 30 mm. The physico-mechanical properties, chemical composition and topology of the surface of the obtained protective coatings are investigated.
