The object of research is the process of forming students' professional and value orientations. The subject of research - theoretical and methodological principles of formation of students' professional and value orientations to work in modern socio-economic conditions. Research methods: theoretical: study, analysis and generalization of philosophical, pedagogical and psychological literature; methods of comparative analysis, interpretation and generalization of facts; empirical: generalization of pedagogical experience, pedagogical experiment, diagnostic methods; statistical: methods of mathematical statistics; monitoring the implementation of research results. The main achievements of the experimental-practical stage: the foreign experience of formation of students' professional and value orientations to work is analyzed and generalized. The methodology of the formative stage of the research was developed and carried out, the purpose of which was to substantiate and experimentally test the effectiveness of the introduction of pedagogical technology in the formation of students' professional and value orientation to work. The substantiated technology of formation of students' professional and value orientation to labor activity is introduced, the conditions of its efficiency are determined. Changes in the levels of development of professional and value orientations in students before and after the formative experiment have been established.
