Technological modes of plasma and detonation spraying of (Ti, Cr) C-Ni powders were optimized. The structure, adhesion and porosity of the obtained coatings were determined. The adhesive strength increases and the porosity of the (Ti,Cr)C-based coatings decreases with increasing the Ni content. Due to more dense and uniform structure the detonation coatings (Ti, Cr) C-Ni are characterized by higher adhesion (up to 101 MPa) and lower porosity (2-3 vol.%) compared to plasma coatings.
