INTEGRATED BIOTECHNOLOGIES, SURFACE-ACTIVE SUBSTANCES, PHYTOHORMONES, SYNERGISM OF ANTIMICROBIAL ACTION, BIOCIDES Object of research was microbial synthesis of metabolites with antimicrobial and anti-adhesive activity, surface-active, emulsifying and growth-stimulating properties under different conditions of producer cultivation; intensification of auxin synthesis; vegetation and microfield studies of stimulation of plant growth; treatment of fruit and vegetables. The aim of the work was to develop approaches to the intensification of the synthesis of phytohormones in complex microbial preparations and to determine the ways of their effective use in agriculture, processing industry and medicine. Methods of research are microbiological (number of viable cells, antimicrobial and antiadhesive activity), biotechnological (cultivation of microorganisms); physicochemical (concentration of phytohormones); biochemical (activity of auxin biosynthesis enzymes); mathematical (statistical analysis of research results). The ability of surfactant producers to synthesize, in addition to auxins and cytokinins, highly active forms of gibberellins GK3 and GK4 and the possibility of increasing by several orders of magnitude (up to 5000−6000 μg/l) the concentration of auxins in complex preparations in the presence of exogenous tryptophan/l) was shown. The synergism of antimicrobial and antiadhesive activity of surfactants with antibiotics, antifungals and essential oils, identification of ways to effective use of complex preparations in plant production and to treat of fruit and vegetables to extend their shelf life, as well as components of "antibacterial locks" was established.
