New results of filaments formation in a transparent material by the method of time-reolved polarization spectroscopy with a resolution time of ~ 70 fs are obtained. A detailed picture of the evolution of the shape of the femtosecond laser pulse directly in the process of optical filament formation is recorded. Femtosecond laser treatment of crystalline silicon aimed at creating laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPPS) was performed, and radiation from the treatment zone was measured. For the first time, orienting surfaces for liquid crystal cells on thin Ti layers were fabricated and studied in detail by the method of nonlinear laser lithography (NLL) based on surface ablation under the action of femtosecond pulses.
