The modeling technique has been improved using the model of discrete elements and carried out numerical simulation, analysis, and installation regularities of deformation of block geo-media at slow stretching, which takes place in rift processes. The new model is verified for the rift phase formation of the northwestern part of the DDB. A new algorithm has been built, a program for modeling the deformation of a medium, consisting of blocks of arbitrary shape, has been created and tested.
