Registration Date 28-01-2022 Organization National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" popup.description2 The problem of the world's airfleet designs is caused by age over of 14 aircraft. The cumulative accumulation of corrosion damage is a primary factor in increasing operating costs. A method of galvanostatic polarization for measuring the polarization resistance of aluminum alloys to assess their corrosion has been proposed. The update of the method consists in periodic change of the sign of polarization of electrodes, in optimization of pulse duration and in special high-frequency pulse methods of processing of electrodes in the period between measurements for extension of service life of electrodes. The advantage of using aluminum electrodes was proved for the first time. A method of manufacturing a sensor from rolled metal up to 0.3 mm thick without the use of expensive and environmentally hazardous technologies of photo printing and chemical etching has been developed. The electrodes are fixed on surfaces that are subject to corrosion. The distance between the electrodes is 200 μm. The bielekctrode sensor is bifunctional due to the determination of the type of wetting of the surface with a film of water. The mathematical model of the system consists of equations for the signals of the bifunctional polarization resistance sensor and the sulfur dioxide sensor from the unified series of Igor Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It is proposed to replace the fixed period between the next inspections of the aircraft with periods, the duration of which is determined by the actual state of corrosion damage to the structures of a particular aircraft. This is possible by controlling the corrosive aggressiveness of the air in the interior of the aircraft. Improving the accuracy of this assessment is achieved due to the possibility of determining the polarization resistance of the corrosion process by a two-electrode sensor against the background of the total resistance of the electrochemical system, as well as by monitoring the chemical composition of air.
