The purpose of the study is a technical and environmental analysis of methods of combating environmental pollution in the testing of missile technology, in the operation of powerful energy generating systems and in utilities. Research methods - theoretical and statistical analysis, finite-difference methods of numerical modeling. Theoretical and practical results: environmental protection measures have been developed to neutralize liquid rocket fuel spills and remnants of shortages from rocket fuel tanks; the technology of sewage sludge processing is offered; Mathematical models have been created for numerical calculation of the process of neutralization of soil pollution, soil remediation, as well as calculation of the level of air pollution. The novelty of the results is determined by a comprehensive approach to the development of methods and means of disposal of man-made and household waste in the industrial centers of Ukraine: developed methods for neutralization of straits and remediation of contaminated soil; the choice of the method of neutralization of rocket fuel residues in tanks is substantiated; developed a method for obtaining construction materials from sewage sludge and polymeric materials; a numerical method for calculating the process of neutralization of the pollution area in the aeration zone and a method for forecasting atmospheric air quality under the action of man-made sources have been developed. Implementation efficiency: the results are used in the educational process of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University in the preparation of students majoring in 183 "Environmental Technologies", in particular in the teaching of the following disciplines: "Technologies of basic industries", "Mathematical modeling in environmental technologies" , "Environmental monitoring".
