An improved scheme of the first stage of the femtosecond laser pulse generator is made, in which the pulse duration is reduced to 45 fs. The pulse repetition frequency is 61 MHz. Average output power is 12 mW. The mode locking in the generator is provided with the scheme of polarization evolution. Scheme solutions have been determined and an amplifier of a fiber-optic femtosecond laser with a wavelength of 1.55 μm has been manufactured. Amplification of the generated femtosecond pulses is realized on erbium-doped optical fibers (Er-80 4/125). Pumping with laser diodes with a wavelength of 980 nm was carried out according to the counterpropagation scheme in relation to the signal beam. To minimize the pulse duration of the laser generation, a balance of normal and anomalous dispersion of the fiber components of the laser is provided. A compressor consisting of two diffraction gratings is made for time compression of laser pulses at the output of the amplifier. The main parameters of the experimental layout were measured: - central wavelength of generation - 1550 nm; - frequency of repetition of laser pulses - 250 kHz - 61 MHz; - average power at the output of the amplifier - 1.1 W; - duration of the output pulse - 410 fs. Following the results of the second stage, two articles and two abstracts of the conference were published. The experimental model of the laser source is used in the work of the Center for Collective Use of Devices "Laser Femtosecond Center" at the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
