Changes in indicators of total protein and its fractions, glucose, indicators of nitrogen metabolism, enzymes, hormones, indicators of immune status were studied. As a result of the conducted researches measures of a complex trapeze were developed. In addition to etiotropic therapy, considerable attention was paid to pathogenetic and symptomatic therapy. These therapeutic units were built taking into account the obtained data: vitamin preparations, preparations of macro-and microelements, immunostimulants, etc. were selected individually. The staff of the department paid no less attention to the pharmacological efficiency and properties of veterinary medicines of natural origin. As a result of the conducted research, the efficiency of biological preparations of herbal preparations in complex therapy for gastroenteritis of dogs, acute parenchymal hepatitis of dogs, pyelonephritis of cats was proved. Studies have shown that the use of the above drugs significantly improves the effectiveness of animal therapy.
