Possible annual production volumes at the stage of research and industrial testing and introduction of the latest technologies are not less than 30 batches of fortified products with a total value of not less than 300 thousand UAH. After the implementation of the product, at the stage of spreading industrial use, production volumes can be increased in 3-5 years by 5-10 times. The payback period for designing of the product and production costs does not exceed 1-2 years. The introduction of the latest technologies of plasma modification is relevant in almost every industrial enterprise of Ukraine, especially in the fields of metallurgy, mechanical engineering, and defense industry. The object of research is the processes of temperature and stress distribution, phase and structural transformations, fracture and wear in high-carbon alloys (steels, cast irons, and weld metal) during plasma surface modification. The purpose of the research is to create fundamental physical and technical provisions for the application of modified layers on ultra-carbon alloys with an ultrafine structure and a dramatically increased level of performance properties.
