The subject of the research - pedagogical conditions for the formation of research competence of future specialists in fire safety of SES of Ukraine in the process of professional training. The purpose of the research is a theoretical substantiation and experimental verification of pedagogical conditions for the formation of research competence of future specialists in fire safety of SES of Ukraine in professional training. In the studied scientific works there is a shortage of research on the problem of formation of research competence of future specialists in fire safety of higher educational establishments of SES of Ukraine in professional training, which actualizes this problem. This report analyzes the relevant scientific literature, as well as legal documentation in the field of fire safety and civil protection, reveals the features of training and research activities of future specialists in fire safety of higher educational establishments of SES of Ukraine, the essence of their research competence as a scientific category. The definition of the concept of research competence of future specialists in fire safety of higher educational establishments of SES of Ukraine in professional training is given, its structural components are revealed. It is established that the competency approach to training in higher educational institutions of SES of Ukraine is based on a conceptual idea of mastering research knowledge, skills and personal development of future firefighters.
