Et Pawl.; Carlina cirsioides Klok, Carlina acaulis L. The study established that the germination of seedlings ranged from 34% to 86% when using this technology, depending on the species as well as ecological, geographical and weather conditions in which the seeds were formed. • The conducted analysis demonstrates that the chemical composition of Seret River water is formed under the influence of a range of factors, and seasonal and anthropogenic factors play a dominant role. • The hydrochemical parameters of water, bottom sediments and physiological and biochemical changes in the organisms of living beings due to chronic pollution of fresh water have been studied. • The research determined physiological and biochemical reactions of Danio rerio on the influence of herbicides class organophosphates (roundup), triazines (atrazine), and insecticides class organophosphates (malathion, chlorpyrifos); the results obtained expands the existing theoretical ideas on strategies for adapting biota to the damaging effects of pesticides under their individual action; • New data on the ability of biomarkers of bivalves, Unio tumidus and Dreissena polymorpha from different aboriginal and invasive populations to reflect the peculiarities of the aquatic environment in freshwater are reported. The results show significant differences between the biochemical characteristics of each species populations and their ability to respond to native pollutants in model conditions.
