The research method is the analysis of the current state of research of LGK crystals and the formation of directions for studying their dislocation dynamics. All the main experimental works performed on LGK crystals, in which the method of amplitude-independent internal friction was implemented, are considered and analyzed. The conducted critical review of the works provides a sufficient idea of the scope of successfully performed experimental work and the prospects for future work in this area. Modeling of the phenomenon of photon diffraction on a crystal lattice was carried out. Based on the assumption that photons, passing through the slit, interact with the electrons of matter, it was shown that the type of diffraction pattern observed on the screen is determined by the spectrum of electron pulses of the substance from which the screen is made. The influence of radiation defects on the dislocation structure of LGC crystals, in particular, the peculiarities of the formation of nano- and micro-defects, has been determined. Based on the results of the first stage of research, a list of promising areas for studying the physical properties of technologically important functional materials has been developed.
