The aim was to develop advanced technology for effective isolation of stem cells from perinatal structures (placenta, umbilical cord tissue) which are suitable for innovative treatment of infertility of unknown etiology. Research methods included flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, basic methods of cell culture. Results and their novelty. On the basis of the conducted research the protocol of cryopreservation of placental tissue, umbilical cord and a technique of removal of umbilical cord tissue from cryoprotectant was developed. The MSC immunophenotype, their multipotent potential and colony-forming activity was characterized. Based on the developed protocols low-temperature MSC master bank of native and cryopreserved placental and umbilical cord tissue was created.
