The overview was carried out for existing methods of short-term water runoff forecasting for the region and their analysis. Based on which the proposals for improving existing methods of short-term water runoff forecasting and proposals for creating of new methods in the Upper Dniester Basin were discussed. The results of the development and practical implementation of the technology of obtaining forecast fields from the general field of modeling of the mesoscale atmospheric model WRF ARW v. 3.6.1 for meteorological values within the basin (sub-basins) of the Dniester River. Numerical experiments have been performed and it is shown that the use of grid telescoping in weather prediction in model with direct calculation of cloud and precipitation processes does not lead to more accurate prediction of precipitation or their amount for a predetermined point, but allows to better predict of general configuration of precipitation field and location of cores of heavy rainfall. It is established that one of the reasons for the errors in the forecasts of numerical atmospheric models for a predetermined point is the discrepancy between its actual altitude and model topography. Verification of precipitation and air temperature forecasts has been performed and it has been shown that the criteria for their accuracy are high for all three grids. The new modeling complex for short-term forecasting floods (rain and rain-on-snow) on rivers has been developed and tested in the Upper Dniester Basin: for the Dniester river basin - village Strilky and the river Stryi - the village of Verkhne Synyovydne. On the basis of a web-source, which was developed specially for hydrological forecasting, two sections have been created, in which the result Product Description popup.authors Gorbachova Liudmyla Olexandrivna Khrystyuk Borys F Shpyh Vitalii M. popup.nrat_date 2022-03-09 Close
