The study of electromagnetic processes in networks with isolated or compensated neutral in different emergency modes. The analysis of higher harmonic components of voltages and currents of clearing SPEF, arcing SPEF and ferroresonance processes is carried out. It is shown that the content of higher harmonic components increases sharply during arcing SPEF. Odd harmonics predominate in zero-sequence voltages and zero-sequence currents. The highest values of the higher harmonic components are present in the zero sequence current of the damaged connection. It is established that the pronounced non-sinusoidality of voltages and currents during arcing earth-fault is associated with the transient process of recharging the capacitors of the damaged and undamaged phases. The results of the analysis of higher harmonic components of SPEF voltages and currents can be used to improve the earth-fault detection algorithms and to determine the faulty connection in digital SPEF protection devices.
