The structure of habitat diversity of the studied territories is specified. Approbation of the defined criteria of an estimation of revitalization processes of a technogenic landscape was carried out. The compilation of the program of scientific monitoring of the processes of spontaneous formation of the plant cover on the technogenic landscapes of the Chervonohrad mining district has been started. It was established that Centaurea jacea and Oenothera biennis are perspective phytomeliorant species at the early stages of plant succession in coal mine-affected areas because they are competitive, can inhabit even very steep slopes and hold the territory for a long time, play an environmental role, forming a humus horizon and improving edaphic and microclimatic conditions. It was determined brioindication markers of revitalization processes of coal dumps: species composition and activity of species, frequency of occurrence, projective cover and biomass, life forms and life strategies, reproductive effort of dominant moss species, which depend on the soil conditions and plant cover.
