The object of research is historical, theoretical and methodological aspects of training athletes in non-Olympic sports. The subject of the research is historical factors and the system of training athletes in non-Olympic sports (coastal rowing, taekwondo PUMSE, sambo wrestling, sport dancing, fishing, sports acrobatics). The purpose of the work is to theoretically substantiate the definition of the main factors of development of non-Olympic sports as a factor influencing the system of training non-Olympic athletes and the formation of theoretical scientific knowledge of theoretical and methodological foundations of training systems for non-Olympic sports. Research methods. To solve this goal used the following research methods: - analysis of scientific and methodological literature and program and regulatory documents (domestic and foreign sources); - analysis and system of theoretical material; - axiomatic, idealization, logical, ascent from the concrete, formalization. - systematic and historical (at the level of comparative-historical, historical-genetic and historical-typological) analysis. During the reporting period, the direction of scientific research was determined on the planned topics, namely the historical foundations of non-Olympic sports at the international level and in Ukraine, theoretical and methodological foundations of training athletes in non-Olympic sports (coastal rowing, taekwondo PUMSE, sambo wrestling, sambo, fishing sports, sports acrobatics), published: 1 article in a periodical, which is included in Scopus, 7 articles in foreign scientific publications and scientific publications included in the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine.
