The purpose of the work is to assess the ecological condition of the main fishery reservoirs of the Dnieper region, to provide sanitary and ecological characteristics of the industrial ichthyofauna of these reservoirs and to develop criteria for assessing the quality of fish products. Research methods - ichthyological, physiological-biochemical, cytometric, parasitological, toxicological, hydrochemical, microbiological, methods of statistical analysis. A comprehensive sanitary and ecological assessment of the main fishery reservoirs and industrial fish species grown in these reservoirs in the Dnieper region. The established levels of accumulation of heavy metals, contamination with pathogenic microflora and parasite infestation of industrial fish species of different types of reservoirs are of scientific novelty. For the first time, sanitary and ecological criteria for the assessment of live fish have been developed and a set of measures to improve the quality of fish products grown in the Dnipropetrovsk region has been proposed. A set of fish farming and reclamation measures has been developed to improve the ecological condition of water bodies and increase their fish productivity. The results of scientific work are of interest to the services of state veterinary and sanitary and environmental control and private enterprises of the fishery industry. The obtained results are implemented in the practice of fishery activities of PE "Foroshchuk VV" and PE "Borisfen-2010".
