The volt-ampere characteristics (VAC) of the dual electric probe were measured near the zone of plasma flux compression in the presence of an external magnetic field, which was created by a solenoid in the accelerating channel. It was found that the electric probe operates in the diffuse mode, and the obtained values of the electronic temperature are underestimated. It was found for the first time that in the presence of an external longitudinal magnetic field in the MPC channel, the WAM of the probe corresponds to a double Maxwellian electron distribution function, indicating the presence of two populations of electrons with different temperatures near the compression zone. The high values of the electron temperature obtained near the compression zone are consistent with the results of previous experiments. It is shown that the ion saturation current of the double probe reaches a maximum where the electric current isolines are observed to be displaced from the flux axis, indicating the formation of a compression zone.
