Pisarzhevskii Institute Of Physical Chemistry of The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 - A method for the synthesis of two polymeric complexes, obtained by reaction of heterometalic complex units of the structural type 15-metal-crown-5 with polysulfonate ligand - The structure of the complexes was established by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and it is shown that the structure of heteropolynuclear metalmacrocyclic units is preserved in the obtained polymeric complexes. It is shown that the formation of polymer chains occurs due to the bridging coordination of polysulfonate ligands. - Measurements of magnetic susceptibility temperature dependence of synthesized complexes are carried out. Preliminary analysis of the obtained magnetic data indicates the existence of significant antiferromagnetic interactions within the structural blocks of Cu5Ln. Detailed analysis of structural and magnetic characteristics of complexes, determination of parameters of exchange integrals will be carried out at the following stages of work. - Nanoscale Eu3+ and Tb3+ complexes with 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxycarboxylate and tris (3-(2-pyridyl)pyrazolyl)-borate posess intense metal-centered emission of red and green colors with quantum yields 20 ± 2 and 50 ± 5%, respectively, with the antenna ligand being Tris(pyrazolyl)borate ligand. - It was found that the emission properties of nanosized Eu3+ and Tb3+ coordination compounds with β-diketonate ligands with phenyl, 2-naphthyl and 9-anthracenyl substituents are very different. Thus, for the complex with a ligand with a phenyl substituent, metal-centered emission of only the Tb3+ compound is observed, with the 2-naphthyl substituent - only the Eu3+ complex, and in the case of compounds with a β-diketonate ligand with a 9-anthracenyl substituent, both complexes exhibit ligand-centered radiation. This difference may be due to the difference in the energies of the triplet levels of triplet levels of these β-diketonate ligands, which leads to the dominance of different ways of energy transfer in the complexes.
