This is facilitated by the growing intensity of the impact on the health of children of different ages of environmental and medical and social risk factors, the deterioration of the structure of nutrition, reducing the effectiveness of traditional preventive measures. A feature of modernity is the rapid growth in the number and change in the ratio of risk factors that affect all systems of the child's body, the development and health of children. The state of children's health is of great importance, because it is the state of health of the younger generation that determines the development of society in the future. The results of various studies indicate a deteriorating trend in the health of children and adolescents in Ukraine. The country is experiencing an increase in the number of functional disorders, acute and chronic somatic morbidity, maladaptation syndrome, congenital malformations, morphofunctional disorders. The number of children with disabilities is growing, and the number of children with mental and behavioral disorders is of considerable concern. In our opinion, the above is due not only to the deteriorating environmental situation, declining levels of social security and medical culture, but also with the lack of existing methods of assessing the health of children to detect pathological abnormalities in them at the pre-nosological stage. The presence of pronounced adverse trends in the health of the younger generation dictates the need for qualitatively new decisions in the organization and conduct of preventive health measures. The highest priority of modern pediatrics is to develop new and improve existing methods for maintaining the health of the child.
