The procedure for attestation of persons applying for competitive positions to determine the level of proficiency in the state language In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language" developed on the basis of Ukrainian language standards, developed and approved by the National Commission on State Language Standards. The standard specifies the amount of language and communication knowledge, skills and abilities required by law for persons acquiring citizenship or holding positions specified by law to ensure the types of professional activity. The purpose of scientific work is to improve the theoretical and methodological support to increase the linguistic and communicative competence of persons applying for competitive positions in the short-term educational program "Ukrainian language for civil servants"; increasing the level of general language training, language literacy, professional communication of officials (improvement of knowledge and practical skills in the use of language norms in oral and written speech). Achieving the goal involves solving the following tasks: - substantiate the content of language and communicative competence in accordance with the standard of the Ukrainian language for holding positions defined by law; - explain the requirements for the mechanism of certification; - provide assistance in preparing for the exam for the level of proficiency in the state language required to hold the positions specified by law.
