Subject of research: the influence of boundary conditions, conditions of connection of bodies and geometric parameters on the stress-strain state of the medium. Purpose: to create on the basis of analytical and numerical methods of practical high-precision method for calculating the problems of the theory of elasticity for the above objects of study; selection of optimal geometric parameters of calculation models depending on the intensity and concentration of stresses in the body. Research methods: the work was performed using the generalized Fourier method for statics problems. This mathematical apparatus is a theorem for adding basic solutions of Lamé equilibrium equations in different coordinate systems, as well as special auxiliary harmonic Papkovich-Neiber functions. The generalized Fourier method is applied to Lamé equations in Cartesian coordinates associated with the layer and cylindrical coordinates associated with the cavity. Scientific novelty of the obtained results: the approach is offered and new problems for an elastic layer with one or several cylindrical cavities are solved; problems with different types of boundary conditions, including contact type conditions, are investigated; for the first time, in the framework of the generalized Fourier method, the solution of the problem for a layer with a cylindrical cavity and a given periodic load is proposed; for the first time the conditions of conjugation of elastic fields for the coupled and smooth contacting layers and the layer and the elastic cylinder are considered and implemented in an analytical form.
