KEY WORDS: TRANSITION RADIATION (TR), SMITH-PARCEL RADIATION (SPR), BOTTOM BARYONS (BB), LARGE HADRON COLLIDER, MAGNETIC DIPOLE MOMENT, BENT CRYSTALS Object – TR of a “half-bare” electron; SPR by relativ. particles; weak baryon decays; protons dynamics in the LHC fixed target experiments. Aim – analysis of the possibility of observation of both suppression and increase of TR by “half-bare” electron on accelerator CLIO (univ. Paris-Saclay, FR); calculation of the enhancement coefficient of SPR due to interference in a finite-size detector; calculation of the decay parameters of BB \Xi^-_b and \Lambda^0_b into J/\Psi meson and corresp. \Xi^- and \Lambda^0 hyperons; estimate the perspectives of the LHC fixed target experiments on measurement of the magnetic moment of short-lived particles in the locations LHCb and ALICE. Methods – analytical solution of the boundary problem for Maxwell eqs.; non-relativ. quark model of BB; particle motion simulation basing upon the code SixTrack. TR by a “half-bare” electron is calculated for the experiment on CLIO. It is shown that one can observe suppression and increase of radiation vs. the one by electron with Coulomb field. The coefficient of SPR increase due to interference is found as a function of detector size. The probabilities of b-quark fragmentation into \Xi^-_b and \Lambda^0_b baryons are calculated with LEP and Tevatron data. The decay widths are obtained with a lower indefiniteness vs the present values. The asymmetry formula is obtained via the masses of baryons and J/\Psi meson. This is the base for measurement of baryon dipole magnetic moments and magnetic moment of b-quark. The optimal parameters of a crystal-target setup are found for a slow extraction of protons and for fixed target LHC experiments within the “Physics beyond colliders” program. The number of protons is estimated for a target and a time of 1 year for a crystal put in the areas IR8 (LHCb) and IR2 (ALICE). Product Description popup.authors Bondarenko Mykola V.
