The purpose of the research work is to develop promising substances with antioxidant and potential radioprotective properties capable of blocking and / or reducing the effects of radiation. Research methods: virtual screening (PASS-forecast, QSAR-analysis), chemical synthesis, methods of chemoinformatics and laboratory synthesis of organic substances, physicochemical methods.  As a result of scientific work, the following results were obtained: a combinatorial library of compounds with potential antioxidant and radioprotective properties has been developed; virtual screening of compounds with potential radioprotective properties using PASS prediction and QSAR analysis; methods for the synthesis of selected compounds are developed; new and resynthesis S, N-modified aminothiols – 25 compounds with certain physicochemical constants and spectral characteristics; the results of primary screening studies of antiradical activity (in vitro) and toxicity (in vivo) were obtained; three connections were found as hit-compound; determined radioprotective activity in vivo (at the cellular, tissue, organismal level) of hit-compounds, their mechanism of action was identified; one compound was identified as highly active; developed active substances in sufficient quantities for further research. Concluded 2 agreements on cooperation in the development of radioprotectors with State Scientific Institution "Institute for Single Crystals" NAS of Ukraine and SI Grigoriev Institute for Medical Radiology NAMS of Ukraine, 2 implementation acts with LLC "Diagnostic Center "Medlife-Bio" and Khortitsa National Academy.
