Peculiarities of diastolic dysfunction formation in such patients are determined. A method of diagnosing hypertensive heart in elderly patients with ISAH and CHF with preserved EF has been introduced into practical medicine, which allows to diagnose diastolic left ventricular dysfunction in such patients in the early stages of CHF. Recommendations for the choice of antihypertensive therapy depending on the features and type of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction are substantiated, which prevents the development and progression of such disorders, as well as promotes high adherence to treatment, more effective impact on blood pressure and clinical course of hypertension.
