The purpose of research work is the development of the road network of Ukraine for its integration into the European transport system with the study of promising areas of road reconstruction. The object of the study is the process of transportation of goods by road in domestic and international traffic between Ukraine and the European Union. The subject of the research is methods, technical means and technologies for substantiation of the rational scheme of development of the road network of Ukraine. Scientific results. Methodical approaches to definition of rational directions of development and reconstruction of a network of highways for their integration into the European transport system are developed. An innovative approach was applied, which includes analysis of world experience, research of preconditions for scientific and technical support of sustainable development of road transport in the international connection "Ukraine-EU", development of methodological approaches to assess the effectiveness of infrastructure reconstruction and reduce energy costs in domestic and international transport. Scientific novelty. In the research work he gained a new understanding of the subject of research, which is to determine the parameters and directions of reconstruction and development of the road network of Ukraine for their integration into the European transport system. New knowledge in this work is based on such scientific approaches as a comprehensive and detailed study of various aspects of known forecasting methods, establishing differences in road transport of European countries directly bordering Ukraine, which provided an opportunity to develop measures to improve interoperability of Ukrainian and European transport systems.
