It was found that high-frequency fast magnetic-sound modes can have a maximum amplitude in the central region of the plasma. It has been shown that ions generated near the magnetic axis as a result of nuclear reactions or neutral injection may be responsible for the excitation of waves with a frequency corresponding to the cyclotron frequency on the magnetic axis. JETSTA and DESC computer codes have been updated to determine the parameters of sawtooth oscillations from the analysis of electron-cyclotron emission data. A method for determining the profile of the magnetic number of uverturns in the presence of sawtooth-oscillations in the tokamak plasma from the analysis of electron-cyclotron emission data is proposed.
