The subject of research is theoretical and methodological principles and practical aspects of formation and implementation of the concept of formation of innovation and business model of a modern university in Ukraine. The purpose of the work is to develop theoretical and methodological principles and practical aspects of the formation and implementation of the concept of becoming an innovative business model of a modern university in Ukraine. Research methods - a systematic approach, methods of formal logic, analysis and synthesis, analogy and comparative analysis, qualitative and quantitative comparisons, statistical sampling and analysis, the method of theoretical generalization. The results of the study and their novelty - the constituent elements of the modern model of innovation and entrepreneurship university (innovations, institutions, entrepreneurship, management, competition, market, leadership, finance, risk) are identified. Existing models of universities in the world are classified. The transformational evolution of the essence of the main innovation and entrepreneurial models in the transfer of academic technologies is analyzed, their chronological systematization is carried out and their strengths and weaknesses are revealed. It is established that the results of basic and applied research should be used by higher schools to preserve the intellectual potential of Ukraine. This is possible through the integration of academic science, higher education and business. First presented opportunities for innovative self-identification of innovative and entrepreneurial universities of Ukraine through the formation of educational hubs in the innovative global space and their relationships within the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation.
