Object of research - compliance with mandatory requirements for civil protection. The subject of research - the conditions that ensure compliance with mandatory requirements for civil protection. Research methods: analytical, comparative and exclusion. According to the results of the work: 1) the classification of means of civil protection is formulated taking into account the scope of technical regulations; 2) the list of national standards that set requirements for the characteristics of civil protection, which ensure compliance with the essential requirements for such means; 3) the procedures for assessing the conformity of technical systems of civil protection, adapted to the legislation and standards of the European Union and Ukraine, are substantiated. The obtained results were used during the development of draft lists of national standards for the purposes of application of the Technical Regulation on Civil Protection and the Guidelines for the Application of the Technical Regulation on Civil Protection.
