The aim of the work is to establish changes in the carbon cycle under the influence of disturbances in forest ecosystems. Research methods - collection of research materials on permanent and temporary test plots in forest ecosystems was carried out using forest assessment and forest management methods based on the principles of selection of trees and components of forest ecosystem biomass with probability proportional to size and quantity. Model trees on the test plots were determined on the basis of the method of continuous listing and simple random selection. A systematic approach to research involved the use of applied analysis of a multifactorial process to assess the impact of disturbances on carbon dynamics in forest ecosystems. The complexity of the research project is characterized by the coverage of various branches of science, their theoretical and analytical achievements, as well as the practicality of the results obtained to obtain social and economic effects. Systems analysis and integrated approach included the use of ground-based, laboratory research methods, analytical and statistical processing of research data and verification.
