These two tasks have their own characteristics - the material for stopping bleeding must have hemostatic activity, and materials to prevent adhesions should not have such activity, at least pronounced. For this purpose, a number of additional substances were used in the composition of chitosan-based materials, including sodium alginate, dyes and others, as well as surface treatment of finished materials by physical methods (femtosecond laser and high-energy protons) to modify surface properties.
