Modern etiological features of acute nonspecific purulent-inflammatory diseases of the chest wall, lungs and pleura have been established. The value of various methods of their diagnosis (radiological, including CT, sonography, radiological; endoscopic: diagnostic thoracoscopy and bronchoscopy) was evaluated. The importance of different treatment methods in the prevention and choice of tactics in purulent-inflammatory processes of the chest wall, lungs and pleura (medication, surgical videothoracoscopic, therapeutic bronchoscopy) was evaluated. The medical-diagnostic algorithm for acute nonspecific purulent-inflammatory diseases of the lungs and pleura has been developed, taking into account diagnostic methods, the nature of the purulent-inflammatory process. A systematic approach to the diagnosis and surgical treatment of patients with acute inflammatory processes of the chest wall, lungs and pleura has been developed.
