The technical task for development and manufacturing of working models of hybrid burners is developed. Technical requirements for burners with combined use of compressed arc of non-fusible electrode and ordinary arc of fusible electrode are also developed. The possibility of changing the distance between the arcs in order to eliminate the mutual influence of two arcs on each other is taken into account.Technological recommendations for the performance of hybrid plasma-arc fusion welding with coaxial electrode wire supply have been developed. Before welding, the preparation of welded parts must be performed according to the recommendations for preparation for argon arc welding with a non-fusible electrode. Only high-grade argon should be used as the forming gas for the fusible arc and the plasma-forming gas for the compressed non-fusible arc. The chemical composition of the shielding gas will depend on the chemical composition of the welded parts: for low-carbon steels as a shielding gas should use a mixture of argon with 18% carbon gas, for welding austenitic steels recommended a mixture of argon with 2% oxygen, 100% high purity argon or a mixture of argon and helium (up to 50% helium) should be used as the shielding gas. The addition of helium to the mixture reduces the number of pores in the weld metal and improves the geometry of the upper part of the weld in the transition zone from the weld to the base metal.A set of design drawings for the manufacture of hybrid plasmatrons with co-combustion in one bath of compressed arc and fusible arc arc with coaxial and lateral supply of the electrode wire. Also, a set of design documentation for a monoblock for combined welding with a compressed arc and a fusible arc has been created, provided that they are burned simultaneously in a common welding bath.
