The report presents a thermodynamic analysis of the process of conversion of nitric oxide to nitrogen dioxide in the presence of ozone. The results of experimental studies of the oxidation of nitric oxide (NO) by ozone (O3) are presented. Based on the analysis of existing technologies of nitrogen purification of flue gases and the results obtained at the experimental installation, a mathematical model of the process of oxidation of nitric oxide by ozone of higher nitrogen oxides was developed. According to the developed model, a numerical study of the oxidation of nitric oxide by ozone to obtain water-soluble higher nitrogen oxides. A study of the binding of nitric oxide and sulfur dioxide by ammonium reagent in the presence of ozone. According to experimental and mathematical studies, recommendations have been developed for the installation of ozone purification of flue gases from nitrogen oxides. The main types of ozone generators, their advantages and disadvantages are given. Three gas-discharge and one electrolysis laboratory generators have been developed using an available element base that meet the requirements for stability and controllability. The costs of the TPP power unit for the production of ozone for oxidation and prevention of NOx emissions into the atmosphere have been estimated. A stationary model of the wood-like porous structure (DPS) of the carbon residue has been constructed, which connects the reaction rate of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the carbon residue with the DPS parameters.
