The equations of oscillations of three-layer reinforced concrete shell protectors (SP) of NPP power units with a flat spherical dome are derived. On the basis of these researches the finite-element model describing dynamic behavior of SP is constructed. The maximum intensity of stresses in the steel hermetic lining was determined after the onset of the earthquake, which began with a jump in the internal emergency pressure in the cylindrical part of the SP. A finite-difference method for calculating the dynamics of three-layer fairings under the action of a plane shock wave is created. Theoretically determined limits of loads at which the structure retains its efficiency.
