Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology of the NASU popup.description2 STC report: 147 pages, 23 tables, 40 figures, 151 sources. The purpose of the work is to develop means of prevention of viral and bacterial diseases of buckwheat. Research methods - genetic, molecular, microbiological, immunological, virological, statistical. The spread of buckwheat burn virus (BBV) in ecological agrocenoses of Ukraine under conditions of mixed infection with bacteria, viruses, microscopic fungi, phytoplasma was studied. Data on the genetic and biological properties of rhabdovirus circulating in different climatic zones have been obtained. The analysis of genomic RNA of buckwheat viral burn (BVB) was performed. Analysis of the amino acid sequences of the fragments revealed similarities in the glycoprotein and nucleocapsid proteins of different rhabdoviruses. An inverse relationship was found between the nuclease activity of buckwheat plants and their sensitivity to BBV. It has been established that BBV affects buckwheat in agrocenoses in complex infection with tobacco and cucumber mosaic viruses, phytoplasma, bacteria and microscopic fungi, which should be taken into account when developing agronomic means to prevent these infections in different ecological regions. Of the 121 varieties of buckwheat in the world collection, only 7 were resistant to BBV: Aeneid, Lyubava, Nektarnytsia, Kazanka, Javate, Botansoba, Ulia II tetraploid. Comprehensive studies of biological products (Bioecofunge-1, Vitazim, Vermisol, sodium humate, as well as cerium dioxide nanoparticles and lyophilized supernatant of Bacillus subtilis strain IMB B-7392) to protect buckwheat plants from pathogens of different taxa also increase its productivity in the current state of the environment. The technology of assessment and increase of resistance of buckwheat varieties to mixed infections under different environmental conditions has been developed and proposed for use in agrocenoses of Ukraine.
