K. Zabolotny of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The physicochemical properties and nature of Bacillus bacteria fluorescent pigments, which determine the pink-orange fluorescence of the strains’ biomass, were studied. It was shown that chlorxanthomycin, synthesized by the strain B. endophyticus UCM B-5715, is capable of forming complexes with copper cations. It was shown that the treatment of winter wheat with a melanin solution directly or indirectly affects the phenolic metabolism of plants. The strain Bacillus sp. 20f with high phytase activity was selected, which showed antagonism to phytopathogenic bacteria and micromycetes. It was proven that the strain B. amiloliquefaciens IMV B-7571 produces a spectrum of diketopyrazines, which determine its algolytic activity, is not phytotoxic, and is also safe for representatives of the aquatic ecosystem. In the composition of P. aeruginosa UCM B-333 lysate, pyocins S-1 and S-5 of the subtype were identified, interacting with pyocins M-II-PB and showing activity against phytopathogenic strains of Pseudomonas syringae. It was proven that the systems of quorum sensing and bacteriocinogenesis in P. aeruginosa interact with each other, which allows considering P. aeruginosa bacteriocins as promising antimicrobial agents. It was shown that the strain of Pseudomonas sp. 2303 is an active producer of phenazine-1-carboxylic acid and inhibits the growth of all investigated test cultures of phytopathogenic bacteria. The strain was classified as P. synxantha. The structure of the phenazine operon in Pseudomonas batumici UCM B-321 was determined and the universal primer Ps2 was proposed to determine the phzE gene coding the synthesis of phenazine-1-carboxylic acid.
