The pros and cons of neotomism and personalism are outlined. It is shown that the representatives of these philosophical trends tried to introduce into theoretical use new ideas about a person who will be able to "transform" into "personality". At the same time, both neotomism and personalism deliberately manipulated such phenomena as "religiosity", "integrity", "universalism". The peculiarities of Nietzsche's system of philosophizing are analyzed; the available approaches to the evaluation of the philosopher's work in modern humanities are highlighted. It is determined that the philosopher's attempt to overcome the dream of anthropology gives the impression of non-academic nature of his texts and categorical apparatus. It is found that the use of Nietzsche's new concepts is due to the lack of methodological regulations that limit the philosopher's philosophizing, and is an example of rethinking rationality in accordance with the historically new internal measure of man as an object of knowledge. It is proposed to consider the term "superman" as one that meaningfully defines objects of high level of abstraction. It is substantiated that F.
