The purpose of the research is to study the interaction of thermal neutrons with metallic ones gadolinium and studying the possibility of recording the energy levels of conversion electrons with an uncooled silicon detector in a wide range of conversion electron energies. As a result of the work on the topic, stage 1: - conducted research on the interaction of thermal neutrons with metallic gadolinium; - the two-channel spectrometric system for recording energy levels of conversion electrons with uncooled silicon detectors was modernized; - developed and created research samples of detector modules for registration of thermal neutrons based on silicon uncooled planar detectors and metal gadolinium converters; - a computerized stand for measuring the static characteristics of silicon planar detectors was developed and manufactured; - developed a spectrometric system for measuring the energy resolution of caseless single-channel silicon planar detectors; - experimental measurements were carried out by silicon uncooled detectors in a wide range of conversion electron energies.
